The following preamps are available stock (Prices listed as follows). a) Mesender - A classic American standard much like a hot-rodded "Blackface". Full Fab tone stack; Gain, Treble, Bass, Mids, Sweep and Volume on one channel amps. Minus the Gain & Sweep controls when used as a clean channel on two channel amps. This preamp loves pedals and is great for blues, classic rock and country. b) Splexi - Vintage tone much like an original "Plexi". Full Fab tone stack; Gain, Treble, Bass, Mids, Sweep and Volume on one channel amps. Minus the Gain & Sweep controls when used as a clean channel on two channel amps. Great with pedals, simply a super preamp for classic British tone. c) Tangerine - That other British tone known for its "Brown" sound and its orange color. Complete with 5 position frequency control switch, a Baxandall Tone Stack design for Bass and Treble, plus Gain and Volume controls. To get the Stoner sound just add a push pull poweramp and ask for the Fab Stoner boost knob. d) Metalhead - The Super lead 70s British design but without the Buzzsaw in the background. Still able to do cleans or add a pedal for Hair Metal. Full Fab tone stack; Gain, Treble, Bass, Mids, Sweep and Volume. Unbelievably versatile with so many sweet spots that are easy to dial in yet remains very quiet even with a pedal boost! e) Powerwave - Modern voiced high gain amp. A series of gain stages add up to a tone that can cover everything up to Death Metal. Full Fab tone stack; Gain, Treble, Bass, Mids, Sweep and Volume. Available in three possible voices each with an emphasis in their own tonal range; XTC (thick creamy low end), EPB(smooth lower mids boost), SLO(High-end sustain and singing violin like leads). All voices are still able to dial in a wide range of tones, each full of harmonic content, yet articulate and defined. f) Matchmore - Chief, Sparky cleans, harmonically filled leads and a full tone stack make this vintage British design a great choice for those wanting the Voxy chime. The circuit remains the backbone of several renowned modern companies each adding some improvement over the original. The Fab Chief incorporates all of the best new refinements yet maintains the tone of the original. g) Voxy Lady / British Scamp - EF86 based preamp. Famous for working well with pedals and being the first specific design for guitar. One knob(Volume)/one switch(Brill) layout is warranted as this preamp simply sounds great . Amazing cleans at lower settings but incresingly crunchy chime when pushed. A huge amount of vintage gain all in a one tube design.. h) SSVT - Super hi-fi preamp, great for jazz, bass, crunch, pedals, acoustic pick-ups, piano like cleans and even Stoner rock if feeding a push pull design with the Fab Stoner boost knob. Complete with Baxandall Tone Stack design for Bass and Treble plus both ultra low and high boost switches. i) Lowatt - Super headroom with articulate and defined detail make this other British design famous. Full Fab tone stack; Gain, Treble, Bass, Mids, Sweep and Volume on one channel amps. Available in normal and/or brill voicing. j) American Scamp - Vintage Tweed tone. Volume and voice switch, simple but sweet. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ 3. Other Options a) High Voltage Regulation - Capacitance multiplier with several FAB features designed to make this arrangement both reliable and cost-effective. The audio effect of active regulation is to offer the amplifier a greater continuous power capability allowing any signal level a distinct firmness to the low end as well as better definition and detail to the sonic fidelity of the highs. (price depends on which amp). b) DC filaments (preamp) - Stock on most Fab models. Provides low noise & hum for studio quality signal to noise ratio (price depends on which amp). c) Power Cut - True triode / pentode switch for more than half power attenuation. Triode mode of operation is a whole new world of tone. (add $50). d) Foot Switching - A possibility of up to four functions can be made foot switchable on most Fabamps. The price depends on whether the function necessitates a relay. Prices include the required footswitch pedal. 1stnon-relay foot switch function, $50 / 1strelay driven function, $100. Second or forth add $30/$50, third add $50/$75. Note 3 or 4 functions require a send footswitch pedal (included).
f) Line Out - True power amp tone at a line level output. Allows line level signal with power amp tone to drive separate power amp, mixer, etc! (add $30 for standard jack out or $50 with adjustable level). g) Power Attenuator- Can be built right in! Prices depend on output power rating but start as low as $30 for up to 10 watts. h) Fab TOP (aka mud) - Negative feed back adjust, adjust for loose or tight feel to the power amp. i) Headphone Output.
